Bondi is many things to many people, but for anyone who's lived here for more than a tourist week, the suburb has a serious movement culture running underneath the Instagram surface. The pilates scene in Bondi and Bondi Junction is one of Sydney's strongest — high quality, genuinely diverse in format, and accessible from the beach to the train station.
All four studios in this guide are verified active as of June 2026 — addresses, intro offers and class formats confirmed directly from each studio's own website.
The Studios
1. Fluidform Pilates Bondi
Address: 136-138 Curlewis Street, Bondi Beach NSW 2026

Website: fluidformpilates.com/our-studios/bondi-pilates-studio
Email: bondi@fluidform.com.au
Discipline: Reformer Pilates · Studio (Equipment) Pilates · Fluidform Strength · Pre & Postnatal · Tween/Teen Moves
Recovery: Sunlighten Infrared mPulse sauna (3-seater) — $55 solo / $70 for 2
Founder Kirsten King built Fluidform's reputation on hands-on technique correction and studios that are genuinely beautiful to be in. The Bondi location captures the relaxed coastal essence of Bondi Beach — modern Balanced Body equipment, 6 reformers, and a Sunlighten Infrared sauna for pre or post-class recovery. The Equipment Pilates format uses the full Pilates apparatus and requires a 1:1 Initial Consultation before group classes (this is the right approach — personalised programming from day one). The Fluidform Strength format is functional-movement-based strength training, intimidation-free and guided by senior instructors. Tween/Teen Moves classes specifically programmed for ages 10–17.
Pricing: Casual class from $40 · 10-class pack $310 with discount code (email Bondi for code) · Sauna add-on $55–$70
Best for: Clients wanting more correction than a standard 16-machine room provides; coastal lifestyle integration; sauna + reformer in one visit
Intro offer: New client packages — request from website or bondi@fluidform.com.au
2. BodyMindLife Bondi Beach

Address: Hall Street, Bondi Beach NSW 2026 (metres from the ocean)
Website: bondi.bodymindlife.com
Discipline: Vinyasa Yoga · Yin · Pilates Reformer (27 machines across 2 studios) · Sauna Therapy · Pilates Teacher Training
BodyMindLife's Bondi studio is the brand's coastal flagship — a light and airy yoga room and two boutique Pilates studios housing 27 state-of-the-art Balanced Body reformer machines, all designed by award-winning architect Ferique Beach-Brown (featured in Vogue Living and Harper's Bazaar). The Essentials reformer program is specifically built for beginners — structured, progressive, and a far better entry point than dropping straight into a general class. The studio also offers Sauna Therapy as part of its wellness facilities. With Hall Street being the centre of Bondi's restaurant scene, this is the easiest studio to combine with a post-class meal or beach walk.
Best for: Beginners wanting structured onboarding; yoga + pilates variety under one membership; coastal community practice; sauna integration
Intro offer: 21-Day Trial available — book via bondi.bodymindlife.com/21-day-trial
3. KX Pilates Bondi Junction
Address: 4/360 Oxford Street, Bondi Junction NSW 2022

Phone: (02) 9184 7941 · Email: bondijunction@kx.com.au
Website: kxpilates.com/au/studio/bondi-junction-pilates-studio
Discipline: Reformer Pilates — 50-minute dynamic format
KX Bondi Junction is the high-intensity end of the Bondi pilates spectrum — 50-minute reformer sessions that push the cardiovascular envelope alongside traditional reformer work, with classes capped at 12–14 clients. The Kaizen philosophy (small, continuous improvements) shapes the programming: you're not expected to be good on day one, and instructors are trained to coach across a wide skill range in the same session. Class formats run across Basics, Signature, and Strength so newcomers have a clear progression pathway. Easy access from the train station and Westfield Bondi Junction makes it the practical choice for time-constrained commuters.
Best for: Results-focused training; high-intensity reformer; efficient 50-minute sessions; train-station-convenient
Intro offer: 5 classes for $60 (new client offer)
4. Balance Moves Pilates & Barre Studio
Address: 72A Hall Street, Bondi Beach NSW 2026 (directly next to BodyMindLife)
Website: balancemoves.com.au · Instagram: @balancemoves
Hours: Mon–Fri 5:30am–7:30pm · Sat–Sun 7:30am–12:00pm
Discipline: Reformer Pilates · Pilates Mat (Beg/Int/Advanced) · Pilates Arc · Barre Attack · Breathwork · Yin Yoga · Private 1:1 · Pre/Postnatal · Clinical Pilates
Bondi's longest-running pilates studio — established 2001 — and the one serious practitioners tend to recommend to each other quietly. Studio Director Renee Scott danced with the Hamburg Ballet before completing her initial Pilates training in New York under Joseph Pilates' renowned disciple Romana Kryzanowska. Reformer classes cap at 12; group classes at 22. Grip socks mandatory (available at the studio).
Pricing: 18-hour cancellation policy for morning classes · 4-hour cancellation for afternoon · Private 1:1 sessions available
Best for: Traditional Pilates Method practitioners; barre alongside reformer; full Cadillac/equipment work; pregnancy and postnatal (all Barre classes open to pre/postnatal)
Intro offer: 2-week Intro Pass (unlimited Mat, Arc, Barre Attack and Reformer) — book via balancemoves.com.au/register
📎 For studio owners in Bondi
Managing a small reformer studio with multiple class formats and instructor schedules is where admin overhead compounds fastest. This Slotbookt Fitness guide on managing multiple instructors in one booking system addresses exactly this — covers, pay tracking, and client-instructor relationships without a front desk.
Before You Book in Bondi
- Hall Street is Bondi's pilates strip. BodyMindLife and Balance Moves are next-door neighbours. Worth trialling both during intro periods to find your fit.
- Book 3–5 days ahead for peak slots. Morning classes (6–8am) and Saturday sessions fill well in advance — particularly at Fluidform.
- Mandatory grip socks at Balance Moves and most other studios. Bring your own or buy at the studio.
- Parking near the beach is difficult. Bus (333/380 from the city) or Bondi Junction Station are the practical options at peak times. Bondi Junction Station puts KX within a 5-minute walk.
- Bring water for summer classes. On a 35°C day, even an unheated studio at Bondi Beach gets warm. Fluidform offers infrared sauna for those wanting to deliberately heat up.
- Fluidform's Equipment Pilates requires an Initial Consultation before joining group classes. Book the consultation 1–2 weeks before you want to start group sessions.
